Women in Leadership with Paulina Tenner
Women in Leadership, Episode 4 – Embracing the Unconventional
For those of you who have been keeping up to date with all things Leadership Trust, you will know that we have a monthly series, called Women in Leadership, where we speak to a wide range of women who are experts in their own field. We speak to them about leadership, leadership challenges, and ask them about any Myths they have busted in the workplace.
This month, we were excited to have the opportunity to speak to Paulina Tenner, an entrepreneur, an angel investor, an author, a TEDx speaker and a founder of GrantTree an organisation started with a purpose to help tech startups navigate the complex world of government funding.
During the call Paulina shared some insights into her hobby as a burlesque dancer, and explained how there are Leadership lessons to be taken away from it and any other hobbies you may have.
She then went on and spoke about the Open Culture structure of her company, Granttree, which fosters clear communication and transparency in everything from pay decisions (people self-set their pay) to the non-hierarchal self-managed structure of the organisation.
