Leadership Trust + Parkfields partnership announced

2020 has been an eventful year. Like many other organisations across the length and breadth of the country, we at Leadership Trust had to shut our doors throughout two National Lockdowns. At a time when organisations needed our world class Leadership Development training more than ever, we had to cease residentials for safety reasons and pivot to online offerings. We had to make the decision to cancel all of our planned Leadership in Management (LM) programmes due to their residential nature, and in Autumn of this year, the decision was made to wait until after March 2021 to resume them, in line with what information was currently available from official government resources.

During this time, the location we had previously ran our residential from and in fact, had been home to Leadership Trust for many decades went out of business. Another casualty to the Lockdown and subsequent drastic downturn in business within the hospitality industry. We mourned the loss of a building and staff who had felt like a second home to us. It was also a time to embrace change and what it could mean for the future of Leadership Trust and our residential programmes.

Our team searched high and low, throughout Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and in Wales for possible locations for our future Leadership in Management courses. In the end, we found the perfect home for our 2021 residential programmes, on our very own doorstep. Our new location is a mere stone’s throw from our previous home. In fact, it’s still within Ross-On-Wye, the birthplace and current home to Leadership Trust.

Introducing Parkfields Country House

Parkfields Country House, is the perfect location and partner for Leadership Trust and our flagship, world-class Leadership in Management programme. A self-declared best kept secret of Hereford; Parkfields is a family run and owned venue boasting beautiful accommodation, acres of grounds and first class facilities.

Our Client Services Manager, Jo Layton, had this to say about Parkfields Country House;

“We spent months looking for the perfect location for our residential programmes. It was more than just the location, we had to be sure that wherever we chose would allow us and our delegates to feel safe. And also that would be able to operate in a COVID-safe way at all times. Parkfields were able to not only meet, but exceed our expectations in this particular area.

Parkfields is nestled in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside near Ross-on-Wye. The team will be dedicated to exclusively looking after our delegates during the Leadership in Management course.  As a delegate on the course you will be able to fully immerse yourself in the experience in the heart of the countryside, with very few distractions.

The Parkfields team know how important it is that they support our delegates by providing a warm and friendly environment.  With support from our Client Services team, Parkfields will deliver exactly what is needed. From any special dietary requirements to being able to relax in a comfortable room at the end of a long day.

One key change will be that the Leadership in Management course will be smaller and more intimate.  We are restricting the numbers attending to a maximum of 22 delegates. So, that whilst the individual group sizes are not impacted, there will be less people attending the course.  It is imperative for us to ensure we can mix safely in this new COVID world without impacting the overall quality of the programme and your learning experience.”

Leadership Trust look forward to welcoming you to our residential programmes at Parkfields in 2021 and beyond.
