For those of you who have been keeping up to date with all things Leadership Trust, you will know that we have a monthly series, called Women in Leadership. In this series we speak to a wide range of women who are experts in their own field. We speak to them about leadership, leadership challenges, and ask them about any myths they have busted in the workplace.
This month, we were excited to have the opportunity to speak to Paulina Tenner. Paulina is an entrepreneur, angel investor, author, TEDx speaker, and co-founder of GrantTree an organisation started with a purpose to help tech startups navigate the complex world of government funding.
During the call Paulina shared some insights into her upcoming book which touches on her hobby as a burlesque dancer. She explained how there are Leadership lessons to be taken away from it and any other hobbies you may have.
She then went on and spoke about the Open Culture structure of her company, Granttree. They foster clear communication and transparency in everything from pay decisions (people self-set their pay) to the non-hierarchal self-managed structure of the organisation. Furthermore, Paulina was gracious enough to answer many audience questions with honest and openess. We’re so happy to have Paulina and other wonderful female leaders on our Women in Leadership series.
