Women in Leadership
Competence Without Boundaries
To celebrate International Women’s Day on Friday, 8th March 2024 Leadership Trust ran two live webinars presented by our CEO, Dr Léa Cléret when she explored what immediate actions women can take to bring more balance to the gender dynamics in the workplace (and everywhere else!).
A recording of the webinar from Thursday, 7th March has been posted below.
What if the narrative that women aren’t good enough to progress was wrong? What if women didn’t need to be and do more to go up the ladder?
What if they had to do less? What if they had to restrict access to their competences in order to be fairly paid, and work less, i.e. the same amount as others?
Taking these actions will open up career progression, better pay, better work-life balance, more fairness in task distribution.
Dr Léa Cléret has spent her career looking at behaviours and studying how to change them. “The truth about behaviours, and therefore about gender dynamics, is that they are mechanical. If you change one behaviour, it has an impact on the other behaviours around you. As a woman who has spent most of my career in male dominated environments, I have been on the front row to observe and experiment how to create fairer and more inclusive, therefore more efficient work groups. I want to share everything I have learnt, because if I can save everyone 10 years in their career, that will be my job done. And what I love the most about this, is that the change can happen without anyone around you having to agree and comply”.
