Henrietta Baldock

Henrietta Baldock

Chair of Trustees

Henrietta is Chairman of European Financial Institutions at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch. She has 25 years of investment banking experience mostly focused on the financial institutions sector. She has worked with a number of UK banks on mergers and acquisitions as well as capital raising during the financial crisis and she advised the Irish government on the capital and funding support provided to the banking sector there. She also has extensive experience of insurance mergers and acquisitions and has advised on a number of insurance company demutualisations and flotations. Henrietta has been a trustee of The Leadership Trust Foundation since November 2012.

Rob Stichbury

Rob Stichbury

Rob has a degree in Biological Sciences, Agriculture and Forestry from Oxford University and started his career with Shell, working in R&D.  He spent 20 years in DuPont, initially in scientific research & development, moving quickly into sales & marketing and then into management. His management positions included several at director and divisional managing director level in numerous international markets including EMEA, MEA, Russia, Ukraine and South America.

Subsequently, Rob was Chief Executive of a Cambridge-based healthcare company specializing in imaging technologies.  During his tenure, he won a substantial national contract with the NHS, and launched the business into the US and European markets.

Following this Rob was a board director at CPA Global, responsible for global marketing, legal services strategy, and running the trademark and domains business units.  He also ran the commercial strategy for the sale of CPA Global to PE groups.  Rob has attended a number of leadership programmes over the years at the Leadership Trust and in November 2015 was appointed as a trustee of The Leadership Trust Foundation.

Peter Gordon

Peter Gordon

Peter is a non-executive director, trustee and consultant, with particular expertise in strategy, change management and marketing gained in a variety of sectors, markets and cultures.

Following a successful business career, Peter has for some years focused his efforts within voluntary and community organisations. He is a trustee/director of a number of charities and community interest organisations, with activities spanning Health & Wellbeing, Disability and Learning & Education.

Peter is a passionate supporter of the work and difference that the Leadership Trust makes to both individuals and organisations. His first experience of the Leadership Trust was in 1984 as a delegate on a Leadership in Management course – something that made a real difference to his own personal development and subsequent career achievement. Peter became a trustee of The Leadership Trust Foundation in August 2013.

John Knight

John is currently Chief Executive Officer of LOROS Hospice in Leicester. He has worked within the voluntary sector for over 30 years leading organisations through periods of substantial growth both in terms of service delivery and diversifying income generation.

John has a degree in Sports Studies and also an MBA from Strathclyde University which included a focus on leadership facilitated by the Leadership Trust.  John has been a Facilitator with the Leadership Trust since 2001 and an Associate Course Director since 2012.

In addition to his career within the voluntary sector, John is a part owner of Clip n Climb Ilkley and has held non-executive roles with the Isle of Man Commonwealth Games Association and within pharmacovigilance. In May 2017 he was appointed a trustee of The Leadership Trust Foundation.

Chris Russell Balkwill

Chris Russell Balkwill

Chris’s career has been both in front of and behind the microphone in broadcasting and satellite communications.  In the 80s, Chris worked as a radio presenter around the world and then managing editor in London for the British Forces Broadcasting Service. After graduating as an MBA in 1994, he became the first General Manager of a satellite transmission start-up. After five years of successful growth, he led the merger into Kingston Communications in 1998 where he stayed as Director of the satellite division until 2003. Chris became Chairman of the New York-based World Teleport Association in 2004 and was also elected to the Board of the Association of MBAs, London, promoting the interests of MBA Business Schools, becoming Chair in December 2010. Chris was appointed as a trustee of The Leadership Trust Foundation in November 2015.
